It’s an unfortunate fact: a political candidate can lose a race simply because their voice is annoying.

We have all seen it happen. Clips go viral of a candidate sounding shrill, too loud, or unsupported, and suddenly the public has the “ick.”

The truth is, tone shapes perception. Even if the message is strong, if the voice doesn’t land, the audience tunes out.
