Horning the Horn
Jonathen Morawski
In Honing the Horn, I will share my experiences as a horn player and educator to help you help your horn players thrive! We will review posture, horn and mouthpiece positioning, and right hand placement as these are the most consistent issues that horn teachers deal with and are freely manipulable.
Additionally, we will discuss the horn player, the horn section, and how to support them in order to better your program. Finally, we will delve into a CORnucopia of topics based around horn and brass playing. These include suggestions for building a more complete range with your horn players, addressing tone and timbre, selecting instruments and mouthpieces, and more.
