“Preparing Your Choir for Choral-Orchestral Collaborations”

In this class, we will discuss the process for preparing your choir to join with an instrumental ensemble. We will consider the whole process from start to finish, beginning with our score study and preparation. Then we’ll examine the similarities and differences between preparing a choir for your own concert, versus preparing it for a guest conductor. Finally, we’ll discuss repertoire specific idiosyncrasies between instrumental and choral ensembles.
